YIMBY Organizer Survey Help us learn about your organization, so we can provide tools and resources for you! Step 1 of 6 16% YIMBY Action is hoping to spur more cooperation between YIMBY-allied groups throughout California and the rest of the country to share resources, spread best practices, coordinate action, and broadly support one another. We want to help YIMBY leaders and staff across organizations learn from each other and become more effective organizers. We also want to point at burgeoning YIMBY clubs and organizations wherever they are, to help people find YIMBY things happening near them! Long term, we hope to give YIMBY-allied groups access to organizing tools we’ve developed, share what we’ve learned about mobilizing members, and give us all a better picture of the state of pro-housing advocacy across the state and country. Currently, YIMBY groups have a wide range of structures, incorporations and types of activism. There are nonprofits, unincorporated clubs, and everything in between. YIMBY Action has been fostering “Affiliates” which are unincorporated clubs under the YIMBY Action umbrella. Affiliated clubs have different structures, some organized around a geographic area, others around an ideology or other theme. If you’re interested in seeing if this might be useful for you, please let us know! There are many urbanist, pro-housing and think-tank orgs that are in the YIMBY orbit. While we encourage groups that are YIMBY-adjacent to fill this form out, we really encourage groups that self-identify as YIMBY fill this out.
