ACTION ALERT: Make 1 phone call this weekend (Plus Pride Plans!)

Make 1 Phone Call for Housing

Marin County - one of the wealthiest in the country - is trying to get a carve-out to reject density and affordable housing. You can read more about it in a piece by Liam Dillon, "What Housing Crisis? Last-minute bill would let wealthy Marin County limit home building."

Find your State Senator's phone number using the new YIMBY App built by our incredible Hackathon participants.

Be polite, be brief, and let them know that you are a constituent that lives in their district. Here is some sample language...

"The housing trailer bill, AB 121, will be on the Senate floorMonday.  It includes a very harmful provision that exempts the very wealthy Marin County from state requirements around density and affordable housing.

And - by the way - Please support increasing funding for affordable housing by calling for AB 71 to move forward and voting YES on SB2."

As usual, Senator Scott Wiener already knows what's up. So maybe just call him to thank him for his consistent housing leadership!

And a shoutout to Assemblymember David Chiu who noticed the sneaking in of the Marin cutout and abstained from voting when it was up in the Assembly. Thanks David!
